JUNE, 2008 NEWSLETTER

Our June meeting is set for 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 11, at the Montrose House.
Our program will be installation of the 2008-09 officers. Our 'almost past' District Eight Director Lori Hubal has graciously agreed to visit us again and do the honors.

The new officers are President Joyce Rudzianski, First V.P. April Taylor, Second V. P. Mary Evans, Recording Secretary Connie Stevens, Treasurer Ann Sellitto, Corresponding Secretary Fran Allen and Parliamentarian Susan E. Gesford

We'll have a report on the Community Day Sale and detail what needs to be done at our first Bingo event, set for Friday, June 13, at Montrose Sr. Center, Montrose Square. The Club needs donations of hot dogs and buns for the Bingo event. Empty plastic (such as cool whip size) containers for are needed to serve popcorn. We also need workers. The doors will open at 5 p.m., and Bingo begins at 6:30 p.m.

Our bus trip set for July 9, a luncheon cruise on Seneca Lake, followed by gift-shop browsing and a visit to a winery on the way home is raising interest. Reservations are due by June 24 to Joyce R. Cost is $55/person. We leave Price Chopper, Montrose at 8:30 a.m. and return between 5 and 6 p.m.

As this is my last newsletter as your Montrose BPW president, I want to thank you all so very much for making my two years as President an honor and a joy. The club saw many changes, some very unexpected. But with your faithful support we survived. You all made my selection as Montrose BPW 2007 Woman of the Year and the celebration banquet a wonderful, memorable event in my and my family's life.

I also want to thank those who served as officers during my term. Without your experience, kindness and support, I couldn't have fulfilled my duties. A big thank you also to By Laws Chair Mary Foster.

Ann Fitzgerald will be calling for dinner reservations for June 11. The meal is $12 per person. If you must cancel your reservation, call me, Susan, at my work number, 278-6397, ext. 226, by 4 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11.
