A Tribute to Evelyn Linaberry
When the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor in
1941, there was a call to arms in this country like no
other. One of those responding to the call was a young woman
from Rush, Pa. Her response was not the usual female
response. She did no go to work in a factory or stay at home
to tend the family business. Instead she donned the uniform
of the US Army by enlisting in the Woman's Army Corp (WACS).
On Wednesday November 12th the Montrose BPW will pay tribute
to our own member of "The Greatest Generation", Army veteran
Evelyn Linaberry.
We cordially invite you to join us for
this special night. It is not often that we can accomplish a
much overdue recognition of her sacrifice for our nation and
renew an old friendship at the same time. Come on out and
greet Evelyn Linaberry, my friend, your friend, and an
American hero.
Dinner: 6:30 PM Wednesday November 12th,
